Our own factory, in Colorado
Flatiron Food Factory, our sister company, runs the US production: freeze-drying under inspection, hammer and cryogenic milling, tolling and procurement. Same owners, same building.
About us
Gembra Health is a women-owned, WBENC-certified wholesale distributor of bovine organ powders in Loveland, Colorado. We are the customer-facing half of a two-company operation whose other half manufactures the material we sell.
Who we are
We are a wholesale distributor of bovine organ and glandular powders, selling to supplement and nutraceutical brands, encapsulators and co-packers, pet-nutrition companies and pharmaceutical manufacturers. A first order can be 10 kg.

Certified by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council. If your organisation has supplier-diversity targets, we qualify, and the certification applies across both companies.

Where the material is made
Some of what we sell we make ourselves. The rest we buy from manufacturing partners we have worked with for years, and we say plainly which is which on the lot you are quoted.

Established producers in each region, supplying material we hold here in Colorado. It is why a buyer can change origin without changing supplier, and why the country on your spec is a choice rather than whatever we happen to have.
Leadership
In an ingredient category built on trust, buyers want to know who they are dealing with. Gembra Health and its manufacturing sister are owned by a married couple who built a food company before they built this one.

The woman-owned half of a WBENC-certified business, and the reason food safety is treated as a starting condition rather than a checkbox.
Zora grew up in the Czech Republic as the granddaughter of farmers on both sides, spending summers working the orchards and the animals. She learned to cook by walking into the garden and gathering what the meal needed. That is a long way from a bulk ingredient catalog, and it is also exactly why the material we distribute starts as food a person would eat.

The commercial side of the business, and the person most buyers end up speaking with about supply.
Josh and Zora moved their family to Colorado in 2012 after a decade abroad, and built a food company together before this one. Between them they have run allergen-controlled production for years, which is the discipline behind a plant that can run allergen-free and allergen-sensitive programs, and a certificate of analysis on every lot.
Who we work with
From a founder running a first batch to an established brand managing continuity of supply. The 10 kg minimum exists so the first group can start.
You need paperwork that is perfect every time and powder that runs clean on the line. We hold both.
Clean-label pet brands whose customers read every ingredient. The material starts as human-grade food. The food we eat is what goes to our pets.
Raw material for pharmaceutical production that calls for freeze-dried protein, held to the same documentation and the same human-grade sourcing as everything else we ship.
Call us. We are in Loveland, Colorado, on Mountain Time, and the people who answer know the catalog.
